Anna’s IF Award Highlights Spirited’s Plight
Among a talented group of up-and-comers, including Spirited cast-mate Annie Maynard, Anna McGahan has been awarded the 2011 Out of the Box IF Award. Congratulations Anna; you’ve created an amazing year’s work, worthy of recognition!
Anna played Penelope, Suzy’s assistant, in season two of Spirited, however this year she has also gained deserved attention in response to her role as Nellie Cameron in Underbelly: Razor.
Thanks to all the Spirited fans who voted in the 2011 IF Awards and a big thank you to Anna McGahan for lending her support to Spirited-TV.net and our “Save Spirited” campaign. True to her word, were she to win, Anna used some of her precious time at the podium to mention our plight to a room of her industry peers and, via broadcast, to the nation. So many awards to Spirited, what’s wrong Foxtel?
Ditto to all the above. Honestly, what DO Foxtel need as further proof they should recommission the show? For my mind, it’s all too ridiculous.
